SuperBook targets Ohio sportsbook market with FC Cincinnati partnership
Sports betting provider to develop mobile app with MLS stalwarts ahead of Buckeye State launch

SuperBook has agreed an Ohio market-access and sports betting partnership with Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati.
The partnership names SuperBook Sports as the exclusive official sports betting partner of the self-styled Orange and Blue, which play home games at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.
Pending licensing and regulatory approvals by the state, SuperBook Sports will launch a mobile app allowing fans in Ohio to place wagers on a wide variety of sporting events, including MLS and FC Cincinnati matches.
The partnership will also include an in-person sportsbook experience operated by SuperBook Sports at a retail venue in Cincinnati.
“SuperBook could not be more pleased to partner with an outstanding team like FC Cincinnati,” said SuperBook Sports VP of Marketing Kristin Mackey.
“Their focus on the fan experience, the pride in their brand, and their commitment to the sport is exactly in line with the SuperBook brand. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership and provide the best sports wagering experience to fans,” she added.
SuperBook was confirmed as FC Cincinnati’s mobile sportsbook partner last week, with the firm submitting a deadline-busting sportsbook license application on July 15.
“We are extremely excited to partner with an industry leader like SuperBook,” FC Cincinnati co-CEO Jeff Berding said.
“Their focus on the sports fan, in addition to their ability to provide a seamless experience, fully aligns with all we do at FC Cincinnati,” he added.
Ohio is set to launch sports betting by a hard deadline of January 1, 2023.
Sixty-days prior to this date, prospective Ohio operators will be required to submit their responsible gaming plans, facility plans, equipment testing, and geolocation procedures as well as any house rules and required procedures documentation.
In addition, this will be the deadline for all standard sports and gaming employee applications, ie those required forms for anyone working in the sector in the Buckeye State.
Just 30 days before the hard start deadline, prospective operators and suppliers will be required to make their equipment used in Ohio available to access by the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) regulators.
Should the requirements of the process be fulfilled earlier than the January 1 start date, the OCCC could decide to launch sports betting sooner, however no guidance has given by the OCCC on what it might do should this instance occur.
