The Action Network hires former FanDuel VP to forge betting deals
Ari Borod will be tasked with sourcing media and sports league deals and establishing affiliate partnerships with operators

Online betting media outlet The Action Network has hired former FanDuel VP Ari Borod to help the firm forge betting partnerships.
As chief commercial manager, Borod will be tasked with sourcing deals with media companies and sports leagues, as well as establishing affiliate partnerships with operators.
While at FanDuel, Borod spent four years in a number of strategic roles, most recently overseeing the DFS business.

The Action Network has become a reference brand for betting and has built a loyal, growing base of subscribers since it’s launch in January 2018
Borod said the network was positioned to become a premier brand for betting.
“Through its best-in-class, five-star rated app and renowned roster of contributors and analysts, The Action Network has built a loyal, growing base of subscribers and an engaged audience,” he added.
“I’m excited to help expand The Action Network’s footprint within the space and establish it as a go-to destination for sports bettors everywhere.”
Group CEO, Patrick Keane said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ari to the team. His knowledge, expertise, and understanding of the sports-betting landscape will elevate our position in the market.
“Ari’s operational experience at FanDuel will be key as we grow our partnerships with media companies, leagues and rights holders and as we build affiliate partnerships with legal sportsbook operators,” Keane said.
In February, The Action Network completed a $17.5m Series B funding round, led by the Ferittta brothers’ investment vehicle, Fertitta Capital.
