Unibet enters second US state with Mohegan Sun partnership
Kindred’s flagship brand pledges to launch online sports betting in Pennsylvania by the end of 2019

Kindred Group’s flagship Unibet brand has entered its second US gambling market after opening a retail sportsbook in Pennsylvania.
The sportsbook, opened in partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono, marks the Nordic operator’s second US launch in September after its online site went live in New Jersey.
As part of the deal, Unibet will add its digital customer experience and data analysis capabilities to the 400-acre casino resort and racetrack in Wilkes-Barre.
The operator said it aims to launch a mobile version of the Unibet’s sportsbook and casino offering by the end of 2019.
Kindred US SVP Manuel Stan said: “We are excited and proud to partner with Mohegan Sun Pocono to welcome patrons to our new sportsbook and offer a great extension to our online product in one of the largest states to regulate both online sports betting and casino.
“We wanted a strong partner who shares our dedication to customer experience and values, and we know that together we will offer Pennsylvanians a truly unmatched in-house and soon-to-come online sports betting and casino experience,” he added.
Initial bet offerings will include NFL, NCAA, NHL, NBA, PGA, tennis, boxing, UFC, rugby, NASCAR and MLS, as well as Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga football – all powered by Kambi.
Aviram Alroy, VP of interactive gaming at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, said: “We’ve aligned with one of the world’s best online casino and sportsbook operators in online regulated markets, which will allow us to offer a best in class experience to our current clients and attract new fans.
“Introduction of the Unibet offering to the market is a great positive for Mohegan Sun, as well as the State of Pennsylvania,” he added.
Unibet has also ramped up its marketing in the US after signing a multi-year sponsorship deal with NHL side the New Jersey Devils.
