Unibet prepares Pennsylvania digital soft-launch
Operator will trial its casino and betting apps in the state this week ahead of a full launch on Friday

Kindred’s Unibet casino and betting apps will be soft-launched in Pennsylvania this week before receiving approval for full launch on Friday, EGR has learned.
As per regulation, the products will be available for a limited time over three days before going fully live.
The operator signed a casino sponsorship with the Philadelphia Eagles last month to market the brand in the state.
“We will have the same marketing mix as in New Jersey, focusing on being as local as we can, using both digital and offline assets and then try to optimize based on what works,” Kindred SVP USA Manuel Stan said.
Stan told EGR North America the firm expected to beat the average market share in the state by increasing its local brand awareness.
“The way we’re looking at it is in a market with 10 operators we want to have 10% market share and in a market with 20 operators we want to have 5%,” Stan said.
Operating via Mohegan Sun’s license in the state, Kindred recorded retail revenues of $74,970 in its first month of operation.
The firm has no immediate plans to launch poker in Pennsylvania.
Investment in Kindred’s US business increased 12.5% q/q to $2.3m in Q3, on marketing and operational growth.
