US gambling veterans link up to launch compliance consultancy firm
Regulatory expert Eric Frank announces rebranded consultancy Odds On Compliance alongside former NJDGE exec Eric Weiss

US gambling regulatory and compliance expert Eric Frank has rebranded his EDF Compliance consultancy firm to Odds On Compliance.
Frank, who once served as group compliance officer at The Stars Group, launched EDF Compliance in early 2021 to provide industry-leading regulatory compliance consultancy services to the sports betting, igaming and gambling sectors.
Odds On Compliance has said it will strive to build on that mission with an expanded team.
Joining the new-look firm is industry veteran Eric Weiss, who recently retired as deputy executive director of technical services/slot laboratory at the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).
Weiss was with the DGE since 1991, during which time he occupied a number of positions in the investigative, technical, and executive bureaus.
“Eric adds unrivalled US regulatory and market knowledge to our core group, enabling us to meet the broad range of needs of our clients,” Frank said.
“Our experience, knowledge and skills immediately position Odds On Compliance as the leading provider of regulatory compliance consultancy services in the sports betting, igaming and gambling industries in the US and worldwide.”
Weiss added: “I am proud to be joining Eric and the team at Odds On Compliance and am excited to start work with our clients.
“There isn’t anyone in the industry with the combined knowledge Odds On Compliance brings to companies who need help navigating the ever-evolving world of sports betting compliance and regulatory environments, so the chance to join the team was one I could not turn down.”
With sports betting now legal in more than half of US states, there is a demand from operators for compliance services – especially when considering how drastically the legislative frameworks and regulatory structures can vary by state.
That can make compliance particularly difficult to navigate for brands that are operational in multiple states.
As part of the announcement, Odds On Compliance also teased the unveiling of a software development arm that will support its efforts through compliance and regulatory information tools.
