William Hill partners with Ocean Resort Casino for omni-channel sportsbook
Bookmaker to run a 7,500 square foot sportsbook on Ocean’s gaming floor, as well as a site and mobile app

William Hill has been selected to run a sportsbook inside the Ocean Resort Casino in New Jersey, which opens its doors on June 28.
Pending legislation and regulatory approvals, William Hill will operate a 7,500 square foot sportsbook in the heart of Ocean’s gaming floor, featuring a center bar surrounded by state-of-the-art video wall technology for viewing of sporting events and in-play betting odds.
The deal will also provide New Jersey bettors access to William Hill’s mobile and online sports book products.
“We are very excited to be a part of Ocean Resort Casino, and to have a presence on the Atlantic City boardwalk,” said Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US.
“We have had great success working with Ocean’s senior management in Las Vegas, and we are excited to have the chance to do so in Atlantic City at what will be the best sports book in town.”
William Hill currently operates 107 race and sports books in Nevada as well as the state’s most popular mobile sports betting app.
“Ocean Resort Casino is thrilled to partner with William Hill, the best name in sports betting, to establish a truly unique sports betting experience in the center of our resort and in Atlantic City,” said Bruce Deifik, chairman of AC Ocean Walk, the company that owns Ocean Resort Casino.
“From real-time betting to exclusive hospitality for major events, the sportsbook will be second-to-none.”
Ocean is also expected to launch a GAN-powered online casino when it opens.
Earlier this month EGR revealed Hills had opened a new office in Hoboken, New Jersey and begun hiring for several senior digital positions, including director of digital sportsbook and director of digital gaming, as well as a number of marketing and CRM roles.
The firm has also applied for a New Jersey license.
New Jersey legislators expect to have passed sports betting legislation by the end of June, and have warned casinos that anyone taking bets before then could be excluded from the market.
