William Hill signs first tribal sportsbook deal outside Nevada
Firm to supply betting technology to Mescalero Apache Tribe’s New Mexico casino Inn of the Mountain Gods

William Hill has partnered with the Mescalero Apache Tribe to launch a sportsbook at its New Mexico casino, Inn of the Mountain Gods.
Located three hours southeast of Albuquerque, the sportsbook will feature Hills’ risk management platform and in-play wagering menu.
The partnership is William Hill’s first tribal deal outside Nevada and the retail venue is expected to open ahead of the NFL season in September.
It will feature 12 43-inch televisions and premium seating.
COO for Inn of the Mountain Gods, Frizzel Frizzell Jr, said: “Together with William Hill, we will offer state-of-the-art betting technology, and innovative wagering opportunities including in-play options.
“We know this is something our customers have been looking forward to and we’re thrilled to be able to partner with the best in the business to bring it to them,” Frizzell added.
In 2018 Hills’ US business was almost exactly breakeven as expansion costs were offset by profits from its existing business.
CEO Joe Asher recently told EGR NA the firm was prioritising its launch in Iowa, via its partnership with Prairie Meadows racetrack.
