World Series of Poker expands online platform into Pennsylvania
Keystone State joins Nevada and New Jersey to create larger online poker pool

The online platform of the World Series of Poker, is officially available in the state of Pennsylvania after the conclusion of a successful field trial and approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Poker players in the Keystone State will now be able to join their counterparts in Nevada and New Jersey as part of an expanded online pool.
“We are thrilled to be opening up WSOP to the state of Pennsylvania,” said Ty Stewart, SVP of the World Series of Poker at Caesars Entertainment. “The real winners in this expansion are the players who join us at WSOP. Our team is laser-focused on providing the most value to poker players in the state and are confident in the potential of our online poker product.”
To kick off the expansion into Pennsylvania, WSOP is offering an array of promotions and enticements, including special sign-up offers, new bracelet events, and weekly tournaments. The added slate of bracelet events begin August 8 and will run daily through August 15.
Pennsylvania players will also have the opportunity to play their way into the World Series of Poker’s showpiece, The Main Event, through daily satellites with buy-ins as low as $1.
Among the other special events and tournaments immediately available to Pennsylvania players is the Sunday $75,000 Guarantee, a weekly tournament beginning July 18 that awards a guaranteed payout of $75,000, with a buy-in of $215.
Similar to online sports betting, anyone looking to take part in WSOP events does not need to reside in Pennsylvania, but rather must be physically located there when attempting to play.
