Intralot has announced the launch of a social gaming suite in partnership with games publisher Lazyland.
The gaming supplier’s Italian subsidiary Intralot Italia has already rolled out the Lazyland Social Gaming Suite in the Italian market under the new brand, Giochi di Intralot.
Intralot’s gaming content will be made accessible through social networks such as Facebook, and implements a “flexible gaming architecture” based on a virtual goods economy.
The proposition is designed to reach new audiences, increase customer loyalty and to raise casual gamers’ awareness and familiarity with real-money products, the company said in a statement.
George Zenzefilis, general director of Intralot Interactive, said of the launch: “Social gaming is a relatively new concept, yet it has gained significant popularity amongst younger demographics. Intralot can now provide a social gaming suite designed to give players the most social and fun gaming experience and offer them new ways to connect with other people.
“On the other hand, operators around the world can take full advantage of the potential of online and social, so as to increase the loyalty of their players offering them an integrated Universal Gaming Experience. We were really pleased with the interest our new Lazyland suite attracted during its launch at EiG 2012 in Barcelona, and after its successful implementation in Italy we are looking forward to introducing it to other local markets as well.”
Yesterday Intralot was revealed as one of the eight parties interested in acquiring the Greek government’s 33% stake in gambling monopoly OPAP.
Recent months have seen the company sign numerous deals to provide online services globally, with a joint venture deal to supply online games to the Mexican national lottery, and a deal to launch online and mobile fixed-odds sports betting sites in South Africa.
