IGT announces third-party developer deals
Agreements including one with High 5 Games will see IGT diversify online casino game portfolio.
IGT has announced it has partnered with several third-party game developers, including a multi-year agreement with High 5 Games (H5G), to expand its selection of online game content.
The deal with H5G is an extension of an existing partnership which saw the developer’s Da Vinci Diamonds slot game launch on IGT’s Double Down Casino in June, and mirrors that struck between the developer and Bally Technologies last month to publish a number of its releases under the Bally brand.
The other “numerous top performing studios” cited in a statement were not named, however IGT chief executive Patti Hart said the deals were designed to “create capacity from multiple sources”.
“Increasing our visibility into future game development trends and expanding our sourcing provides more leverage for our studios, our customers and our investors,” she said.
“By combining IGT’s market research into player preferences with our studios’ expertise in building the best games in the industry along with our lineup of third party developers, we continue to develop some of the most sought-after casino games.”
Nevada-based IGT, which received one of the first egaming licences to be issued in the state, acquired social game developer Double Down in January this year for up to US$500m.
