Optimal Payments in Lotus deal
Neteller parent company joins Interwetten in partnering with British-based Formula 1 team.

Optimal Payments has agreed a deal to become an official partner of the Lotus Formula 1 team, the Neteller owner has announced.
The partnership will see the company work with Lotus and its other partners on payment solutions covering the sale of goods and services via online stores, mail-order/telephone order and automated (IVR) phone channels across Europe, Asia and North America.
It is the second deal signed between the UK-based team, which currently sits third in the 2012 constructors’ championship, and a company with egaming connections, following last week’s sponsorship agreement with Interwetten.
Lotus team principal Eric Boullier said “Lotus F1 Team is delighted to have attracted Optimal Payments as a partner,” adding that “We are entering an exciting phase in the development of our business model and bringing on board partners who can support us, and our associates, is a key part of maximising the commercial opportunities we see from the broader Formula One business.”
Optimal Payments was renamed in February 2011 when Neovia incorporated a smaller business of the same name. The company provides payment services for a number of egaming operators, including PokerStars and bet365, through its Neteller eWallet.
