Unibet creates head of innovation role
Operator hires former Inzenka senior project lead Jo Noirit to lead the firm's innovation team

Swedish-listed operator Unibet has appointed Jo Noirit to the newly created role of head of innovation research and delivery, eGaming Review has learned.
Noirit takes up the new role at the end of January and joins the firm from corporate growth consultants Inzenka where she worked as a senior project lead assisting clients including Unilever and Royal Mail on innovation projects.
In her new role Noirit will work closely with the strategy office teams to build on existing innovation projects, as well as leading the innovation team to develop new innovation for Unibet’s B2C brands.
She will report directly to Rhodri Darch who has taken up the position of chief strategy officer after working as chief programme officer at Unibet since December 2010.
Darch told eGR the new head of innovation and delivery role was a key part of the operator’s strategy for both customer-focused features and major corporate innovations.
“A huge amount of effort and energy and achievement in this area takes place in all teams, all the time, and there is no intent for this to change but to add more to this,” Darch said. “The addition of Jo and a dedicated innovation research and delivery function will further boost and support these efforts, while also opening up the ability to look at more disruptive opportunities.
“We are committed to identifying new and exciting ways to delight customers of the Unibet and Maria brands and to deliver great experiences and to do this we know we have to invest time and effort,” he added.
The latest hire follows last year’s appointments of Robert Smith and Peter Alling to the newly created roles of head of new channels and head of public affairs for the Nordic region respectively.
