Sky Bet revamps poker product
New Sky Poker site now in open beta test for hold'em cash games and will provide users with a "platform neutral" product

eGaming Review operator of the year Sky Betting and Gaming has begun to roll out a major re-launch of its poker product after recently completing a ‘closed’ beta trial.
The redesigned Sky Poker site is currently available to all customers as an open beta product on the Texas Hold’em cash tables only but the Alderney-licensed operator has plans to roll out the changes across multi-table tournaments, single-table tournaments and Omaha variants in the coming weeks.
The new design will eventually see the full introduction of a new Sky Poker product version including a new front-end page with an updated design and improvements to overall gameplay for instant play and download software.
Head of Sky Poker and Bingo Richard Milner told eGaming Review that the new version will allow for additional website development in the future.
“Although our existing flash product has served us well and grown with us over the last few years, we felt the time was right to build something new and improved, allowing us to develop further and faster,” Milner said. “As well as the immediate benefit the new product will bring to customers, it will also allow us to evolve Sky Poker in the future.
“The new product allows us deliver other new and exciting features for our customers more efficiently,” he added. “It’s also a much more platform neutral product which will eventually allow customers to play Sky Poker on various devices.”
The poker site introduced rakeback for the first time in May and previously signed a three-year extension to its deal with software firm Openbet for the supply of its poker software in January.
