Sky Bet releases seamless login mobile app
Updated sportsbook app includes seamless login to Sky Vegas from Sky Bet and Sky Sports Radio Player functionality

Alderney-licensed operator Sky Bet has upgraded its mobile app to include a seamless login function from Sky Bet to Sky Vegas and the installation of the Sky Sports Radio Player.
Other updates to the app include a pull down page to refresh prices and notifications to relay information to customers related to their bets. Speaking with eGaming Review, head of mobile Ben Kamara said the operator has plans to implement this across its other apps in the future.
“We are the first betting company to implement a seamless session handling between our apps,” Kamara said. “We plan to roll this across all our apps very soon so the same experience is there for Super 6 and Fantasy Football, [making] our customers’ journey that much simpler.”
“We have very much taken a user approach to our development going forward,” he added. “We are spending much more time researching and gathering the voice of our customers.”
The updates follow additional mobile web changes made by Sky Bet since April including a new lobby for managing bets and watching races with Racing UK’s streams, coupons for almost all sports and a new homepage design.
Following the latest app changes Kamara said that plans for additional updates were also in place. “We have some app updates required to get all our apps to par with Sky Bet and Sky Vegas, and then we want to build on what the customers want,” he said.
“A differentiated experience on tablet versus phone, more meaningful notifications, better ways to manage the bets they have placed, and there is lots more for us to look in to.”
Sky Bet, which last month became the new title sponsor of the Football League, recently announced 37% year-on-year revenue growth from £112m in 2012 to £155m in 2013, with particularly strong growth in mobile. Last year’s winner of eGaming Review‘s Operator of the Year award also recently became the official betting and gaming partner of Leeds United Football Club.
