32Red signs sponsorship deal with Nottingham Racecourse
Gibraltar-based gaming company to support various race events throughout 2013
Gibraltar-licensed gaming operator 32Red has signed a sponsorship deal with Nottingham Racecourse, which will see the company support a number of race events this year.
32Red will sponsor the entire race card at the venue on Friday 19 July, as well as a new £25,000 handicap race and three additional meetings in October.
The agreement was hailed as “exciting news for Nottingham” by Pip Kirkby, general manager at Nottingham Racecourse. “We are very much looking forward to progressing our relationship and ensuring this sponsorship works well for all involved,” he said.
Nottingham’s sister courses of Newmarket and Market Rasen have both previously partnered with 32Red, which last month signed sponsorship deals with English Football League clubs Crawley Town and Newport County.
The company had previously appeared as a shirt sponsor for Premier League club Swansea City before agreeing to end the sponsorship deal prematurely.
32Red chief executive Ed Ware said the company was delighted to expand its commitment within Jockey Club Racecourses, having sponsored more than 1,500 horse races since 2004. “We find that racecourses offer us excellent commercial opportunities,” he added.
