Former Aristocrat CTO joins GameAccount
Julius Patta hired to head up software provider's US operations

GameAccount Network has appointed Julius Patta, the former CTO of its US partner Aristocrat, as president of its North American business.
Patta, who has been tasked with developing “comprehensive support infrastructure” for the group’s partners and customers in the region, will join GameAccount in July subject to standard checks and approvals.
He will be based in the United States, working on the day-to-day management of its partnerships with Aristocrat and Foxwoods, with GameAccount’s core research and development projects taking place in its head office in London.
GameAccount chief excutive Dermot Smurfit described Patta as “a new breed of gaming management”.
“[Patta is] perfectly suited to develop our business in one of the world’s most exciting, regulated, emerging internet gaming markets,” Smurfit said.
The 46-year-old spent three years with recent Nevada licensee Aristocrat, from 2009-2012, and previously founded and headed up the Slovakian lottery.
The agreement with Foxwoods owner Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation was signed last month, with the intention to launch a free-to-play offering followed by real-money gambling when regulation permits.
Its partnership with Aristocrat, agreed in August 2011, to provide a gaming platform and freeplay software led to the launch of an online casino offering for the Island & Resort Casino in Michigan.
