
BetVictor launches iPhone app
IPhone-optimised app features integrated casino and live betting sections "iPad version to follow in Q1 2013.

BetVictor has launched of its native iPhone app following 15 months of development and testing.
The app, which was built by the operator’s in-house team of iOS developers, features an integrated casino product, real-time prices, and a live betting section, alongside live streaming of UK and international racing and an improved betting slip.
While an iPad-optimised variant is yet to be released, users can access the app on the device, and a native application for the tablet is to be released in the first three months of the year.
“I am delighted to introduce the launch of our own native iPhone Application, a product that has been developed solely for the iPhone rather than a conversion of our web content,” BetVictor chairman Victor Chandler said of the launch. “It is something we are extremely proud of and the feedback we have had from our customers’ to date suggests it is a real winner and once again sees us at the forefront of technological advances in the gaming industry.”
The operator has also upgraded its mobile web applications for Android devices and Blackberry, including an optimised tablet offering for all devices.
BetVictor becomes the latest operator to release a new mobile offering in recent months, with Skybet’s HTML5 casino portal and Paddy Power’s Roller Casino among the highest-profile launches.
The launch comes a month after BetVictor became one of the latest companies to be awarded a sports betting licence by Schleswig Holstein, with 15 operators now approved to offer online sports betting in the German Land.
At the time the Schleswig Holstein Ministry of the Interior revealed that a further 23 companies were under consideration for a licence, despite the state government moving to repeal its egaming legislation in favour of joining the controversial State Treaty signed Germany’s other 15 Länder.
