888 in major sportsbook advertising push
New campaign to receive "significant investment" as it looks to grow sports betting business following Kambi deal

Gibraltar-licensed operator 888 has launched a new UK advertising campaign backed by a “significant investment” as the company looks to grow its sportsbook business prior to the FIFA World Cup.
The ‘Bet You Can’ campaign, which was created in partnership with branding agency BEAR, will run on Channel 4 and Sky TV channels, as well as through outdoor advertising, mobile and online.
The campaign comes after 888 signed a deal with Unibet’s B2B subsidiary Kambi Sports Solutions in May to receive a fully managed sportsbook solution.
Senior vice president and head of 888’s B2C divison Itai Pazner told eGaming Review the Kambi deal placed 888 in a strong position to grow its sportsbook and the advertising campaign was just one part of an overall strategy.
“We are going significantly above the line for the first time with a major investment in the campaign,” Pazner said.
“We were never that focussed on sports before which I would say acted as complimentary to our other products. It is now one of our main business avenues and we see good opportunities for growth in the future,” he added.
The latest campaign promotes its free bet offers and welcome package , in addition to highlighting the ease of use of its mobile app under the slogan ‘App, Tap, Bet’ as the firm looks to align its sportsbook with its other products,
Last month 888 won a hat-trick of awards at the eGaming Review Operator Awards in London, taking home the prizes for Poker Operator, Casino Operator and overall Operator of the Year.
