Barcrest to take its games online in GameAccount deal
Three of the gaming machine manufacturer's products set for GameAccount Network's international platform.
Gaming machines manufacturer Barcrest has signed a deal with GameAccount Network which will see a selection of its games launched online via the skill games provider’s platform in various international jurisdictions.
Amusement game Crown Jewels, set to be launched in June, will be the first of three Barcrest products to go online on the network this year. The deal will see Barcrest’s games launched locally in various jurisdictions.
GameAccount Network’s CEO Dermot Smurfit (pictured) said the deal comes at the right time, explaining “We have a commitment to serve the needs of the growing number of regulated gaming markets [and] we believe these games should perform well.”
The Barcrest agreement follows a number of recent deals involving GameAccount, including extensions of its partnerships with Italian operator Snai and Irish firm Paddy Power, while last year saw GameAccount sign a free-play egaming deal with Aristocrat for the US market.
Alex Stephens, MD of interactive gaming at Barcrest, said the agreement is an important step for the company’s egaming future.
“The global, regulated egaming market is growing rapidly, driven by the introduction of new legislation in many countries, such as Italy and Spain. GameAccount Network is ideally placed to assist in growing our global online presence and capitalising on the existing popularity of our games.”
Last month Snai were forced to temporarily shut down a video lottery terminal network provided by Barcrest after unusual activity was noticed.
