Betfred launches mobile casino with Playtech
Offering includes 20 different slots and table games.

Gibraltar-licensed operator Betfred has gone live with its Playtech-powered mobile casino offering, ahead of a planned broader mobile launch with the London-listed software provider.
It is available on iPhone, iPad or Android devices, and in addition to slots and table games it offers branded scratchcards including Rocky and Iron Man 2.
Betfred is expected to follow the mobile casino launch with live dealer and bingo games, and Betfred.com managing director Chris Sheffield said: “We are confident that with Playtech’s proven products combined with our strong focus on the platform, we will be able to generate significant traffic to mobile from both existing and new players .”
Playtech launched its mobile hub in October last year, bringing in expertise from its recently acquired Mobenga business to create the opportunity for licensees to centralise their mobile offering. Gala Coral was the first operator to go live with the hub.
Last summer saw the software provider roll out its new mobile bingo app, with Paddy Power and William Hill Online the first operators to take it live, and Betfred is anticipated to follow suit this year.
Playtech chief operating officer Shay Segev described Betfred as “An important operator in the mobile arena,” explaining “With the investment and effort they continue to put into expanding and promoting this platform, we see Betfred as a great partner in advancing our reach on mobile.”
