BetVictor announces £500k ad campaign
'Cinematic' style ads will feature actor Paul Kaye alongside operator's chairman Victor Chandler

Gibraltar-licensed operator BetVictor is set to roll out a new £500k television advertising campaign, enlisting the help of director Russell Bates.
The campaign continues the previous ‘Maurice and Victor’ adverts featuring the operator’s chairman Victor Chandler and actor and comedian Paul Kaye, but the bigger-budget productions are said by the company to have a more ‘cinematic’ look.
The first wave of ‘Maurice and Victor’ adverts helped push the operator towards a 70% rise in turnover for the year to date, while the firm has also risen to third in the Oddschecker rankings.
Among the series of new ads will be BetVictor’s first example of in-play advertising, timed to coincide with the start of the European football season. The first ad, entitled ‘Train’, will be broadcast both on Sky channels and on the new BT Sport channel, and will be followed by ads entitled ‘Pogo’ and ‘Baggage’.
“Train will be the first advert in the campaign to air and will coincide with the start of the football season to emphasise how BetVictor offers some of the best online odds for football,” marketing director Karl Riley said in a statement.
“The interaction between the two is a simple message from Victor of ‘why don’t you just go to our website to check the latest odds?’, the ending however is something we cannot disclose so you’ll have to wait and see,” he added.
The operator, which launched its first native iPhone app in January, has also expanded its sporting presence this year through its sponsorship of World Matchplay Darts.
