Bodog Poker Network in TLC88.com deal
Poker product to be added to Asian-facing site's casino and sports betting products.

Asian-facing casino and sports betting site TLC88.com is to venture into poker after agreeing a deal with Bodog to join its network.
The Bodog Poker Network was acquired for an undisclosed sum in June by Philippines-based Bodog88, with Patrick Selin stepping down from his role as CEO immediately afterwards.
Current Bodog Poker Network CEO Jonas Odman (pictured) said of the deal: “We always felt the best place for the network was Asia as we are confident our product is the fairest place to play online poker which especially appealing to those who are looking to learn the game and have fun while doing so. TLC88.com has cleverly built a great brand in the Asian market and we hope we can help them continue that success for a long time.”
Fun88 founder and TLC88.com CEO Nick Lee added: “Poker is in its infancy in Asia but unlike most Western focused games lends itself well to the concepts of sharing and community that are so familiar to Asian gamblers. The Bodog Network is different to the other poker rooms and works better for players who are new to the game which is what many of our customers will be.”
The Bodog network launched its new poker software “ featuring anonymous tables “ in November last year. Network licensees include Bodog Europe, Bodog88, Bodog.ca and Bovada.
In July, the Bodog Poker Network launched a Mac-compatible version of its poker software and in March, it introduced software including anonymous tables and an increase on the number of tables each player can have open at any one time.
Meanwhile, English Premier League football club Sunderland AFC has also announced TLC88.com as the club’s official Asian betting and gaming partner. The initial two year deal will offer Black Cats supporters across Asia a range of online activities including football betting on games.
Mike Farnan, Sunderland AFC’s international marketing director, said: “This is the first partnership that the club has signed in Asia and one that will help the growth of Sunderland AFC on an international level. This echoes our commitment to partnering with top line international brands and we are delighted with the partnership.”
