Caesars and EA team up on WSOP Facebook app
Freeplay social poker app was already available on mobile for iOS and Android play.

Caesars interactive entertainment has announced the launch of a World Series of Poker-branded Facebook app in partnership with Electronic Arts.
The app follows last year’s mobile versions “ released on iOS and Android “ and allows players on mobile devices to log in through Facebook Connect and join the player pool in the online app on the social network.
Players can take part in no limit hold’em cash games and tournaments for virtual credits, with the latter format seeing players compete to win either a virtual WSOP bracelet or ring.
Players are also able to buy extra chips or gold with the cheapest option costing US$2. It is claimed on the app that the gold coins can be used “To purchase premium gifts that will never expire”.
The app also allows players to pay for VIP status which gives them access to exclusive tables and a personalised statistics tracker.
Caesars’ launch comes just weeks after PokerStars launched its own Facebook app, which the Isle of Man licensee has connected to its freeplay dot.net site.
