Cardbet in Betting Promotion and Revolution Poker network deals
Operator is one of a number of IGT Poker skins with which Betting Promotion has been in talks - poker migration to Revolution Network should happen no later than 1 November.
Malta-licensed operator Cardbet has agreed a deal with Swedish-based Betting Promotion to take on board its Bet Power solution.
The company has also agreed a deal to join the Revolution Poker Network, and spokesman Erik Skarp told eGaming Review: “We are trying as hard as we can to make it happen no later than 1 November.”
Cardbet currently owns four skins on the IGT Poker Network – its eponymous flagship site as well as m8poker.com, metspoker.com and pro-factory.com, and plans to launch a further brand aimed at the Finnish market once the upcoming migrations are complete.
The Revolution Network launched earlier this year after Lock Poker acquired selected assets of the Cake Poker network, and its other skins include Intertops, Betboo and PowerPoker.
The odds and risk management product will be available on several Cardbet-owned skins, with the operator having previously used Entraction for sports betting.
It follows last month’s announcement from InstaDeal that the fast-paced poker network would be integrating a sportsbook from Betting Promotion, while the company remains in discussions with other IGT Poker skins.
Betting Promotion CMO Richard Hogg told eGaming Review: “We are speaking with other IGT clients who are in a similar predicament and will hopefully be able to announce some more deals in the coming weeks.”
CardBet spokesman Skarp said: “In a competitive market our customers understand the pricing we have on our sportsbook so it is important we are seen to be offering highly competitive odds which is different to others and this is something we feel Betting Promotion is able to offer.”
IGT chief executive Patti Hart confirmed last week that the company was to shut down its poker network – acquired last year and rebranded from Entraction in January – in December.
So far two operators on the network, iGame and BetVictor, have announced plans to move to the Microgaming network, however the future destination of the poker offering of many other operators is yet to be confirmed. All operators have been informed that the network will be closing in December, at which point they will need to have migrated their poker offering elsewhere.
