CryptoLogic extends Betsson deal
Amaya-owned software supplier renews third agreement in two weeks.

CryptoLogic has announced its third software licensing extension in the last 10 days, signing an agreement to supply its suite of casino games to Betsson Malta for a further two years as its takeover by Amaya nears completion.
Following extensions of Crypto’s deals with Ladbrokes and Betclic Everest subsidiary Everest Gaming, Betsson will have access to a portfolio of more than 100 of the software supplier’s games in a deal which will also provide the Scandanavian operator with access to any new content released by Crypto in the next two years.
Betsafe has become the first of Betsson’s 10 sites to go live with the portfolio after 70 games were integrated onto its platform in May this year, with the other nine sites planning to go live with the games in the second half of 2012.
Commenting on the deal Betsson’s head of games Rudi Thomassen said: “CryptoLogic’s games have proven very popular with our customers and we are delighted to extend our agreement with them. With more of CryptoLogic’s entertaining games on our sites it will help Betsson to continue to deliver the very best online gaming content. “
The news comes as Crypto’s acquisition by fellow Canadian supplier Amaya Gaming nears completion with latter announcing it would purchase the remaining 8.5% in the business. Last week it applied to have its shares delisted from the NASDAQ stock exchange after announcing that chief executive David Gavagan had stepped down from his role in April to be replaced by Amaya CEO David Baazov.
