Ladbrokes hires bet365 in-play chief
Glynn Carroll joins the Magic Sign as director of trading operations after heading up bet365's in-play team

Ladbrokes has moved to strengthen its sportsbook trading team after hiring bet365’s head of trading in-play analysis (TIPA) Glynn Carroll, eGaming Review has learned.
Carroll has moved to the London-based operator to become director of trading operations, where he will report into Ladbrokes director of trading Andy Wright.
As head of TIPA, Carroll was responsible for the bet365 in-play trading teams across multiple jurisdictions where he also monitored in-play trading patterns.
His new role will see him take on responsibility for Ladbrokes product portfolio of all sports in the trading function, its liabilities, customer staking limits and trading strategy.
The news of Carroll’s hire comes after a string of people moves at Ladbrokes, most significant being the promotion of digital director Jim Mullen to replace Richard Glynn as chief executive on 1 April.
In addition, in March the firm appointed its first Belgium digital director in the shape of former Unibet France country manager Gildas Tanguy, while Ladbrokes’ corporate affairs director Ciaran O’Brien recently announced he was to move to rival William Hill later this year.
