Paddy Power to launch mobile cash-out in November
Irish operator to launch mobile cash-out for football betting as it readies new tablet-optimised casino games to launch between now and Q1
Paddy Power will launch a series of new mobile and tablet apps between now and early Q1 as it looks to further develop its mobile platform.
The first product to be launched is set to be the first of the operator’s new mobile cash-out products, which Peter O’Donovan, MD of Paddy Power Online, revealed will be launched later this month on its sportsbook app.
The cash-out will initially be limited to football betting before being rolled out across other markets in the future.
A series of tablet-optimised gaming content is to be launched between now and Q1 2014, with games, casino and bingo content to be repurposed in order to ensure that slots and table products are fully customised for tablet devices.
The operator has developed its own intelligent presentation layer for the tablet products, with O’Donovan claiming the layer will not only help ensure the content is presented correctly, but also “push the right content to the right player at the right time”.
The apps will be entirely gesture-based with both web app and native formats in development, with the latter submitted to Apple’s App Store for approval.
The launches will build upon the Irish operator’s live casino mobile and tablet applications which were launched on Android and iOS late last month.
The operator currently derives 47% of its egaming revenue from mobile wagers, while 63% of its active customers placing a bet via a mobile device in October. Around 55% of Paddys’ mobile revenue comes from its sportbook, with 33% coming from mobile gaming.
