Paddys enters LatAm with SIS agreement
Deal will see operator broadcast live coverage of South American horse races.

Paddy Power has established a presence in Latin America, becoming the first sportsbook operator to offer live streaming of horse racing from the South American continent through a deal with Satellite Information Services (SIS).
The service was originally launched on the SIS+ betting shop channel and has now gone live, broadcasting around 4000 races a year from race courses including Valparaiso, Hipodromo Chile and Club Hipico Santiago in Chile; La Plata and San Isidro in Argentina, and Maronas in Uruguay.
Races will be available between 6pm and 8pm GMT on the operator’s paddypower.com site, with SIS director of operations Brent Dolan commenting: “There has been a great response to Latin American racing, both in the shops and now online. We’re always looking for ways to add quality thoroughbred horse racing and a further step towards that is providing this live stream.
“We’re delighted to be working with Paddy Power which has provided valuable feedback in helping us shape the service. They were using the service across their retail estate and online was a logical next step for them,” Dolan explained.
The agreement follows last week’s launch of Paddys’ Euro 2012 augmented reality app featuring Queen Elizabeth II in English flag face paint, designed by mobile advertiser Blippar.
