
Poker Channel gets rights for Epic Poker League
Gaming Media Group-owned broadcaster to show more than 70 hours of tournament coverage across Europe.

The Poker Channel “ owned by Power 50 operator Gaming Media Group – has secured the rights to show more than 70 hours of footage from the Epic Poker League to viewers worldwide.
The first episode from the Federated Sports+Gaming-owned league will be broadcast on Sunday, with more than 30m television viewers across Europe and more online given access to the programme.
Viewers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch from 23:00 GMT while the mainland European broadcast begins at 22:00 GMT.
The Poker Channel is available in the UK on Sky and Freesat, in Mexico and Argentina on TVC Deportes and Gambling TV respectively, and on selected platforms in 28 mainland European countries. It was recently made available on Orange TV in France following a “milestone” deal with France Telecom.
After holding its first event last year, the Epic Poker League is believed to be subject to takeover discussions from Pinnacle Entertainment. It is currently broadcast in the United States on CBS and the Velocity network.
