Sky Bet annual revenues increase by 37%
Alderney-licensed operator posts yearly revenues of £155m

BSkyB’s egaming arm Sky Bet has seen annual revenues rise 37% year-on-year, the parent company announced in its results for the 12 months ended 30 June 2013.
The Leeds-based operator saw revenues rise from £112m in 2012 to £155m in 2013, with BSkyB CEO Jeremy Darroch highlighting the firm’s increase in unique users and mobile growth as key factors for the growth. Sky Bet launched its HTML5 mobile casino offering Sky Vegas Mobile Casino in December.
“In Sky Bet we had a really strong performance,” Darroch said. “Our revenues were up [nearly] 40% and that was off the back of good customer growth as well as the launch of our mobile betting service for the first time.”
The Alderney licensed firm, which won last year’s eGaming Review‘s Operator of the Year award, recently became the new title sponsor of the Football League as part of a five-year deal. The sponsorship came just weeks after becoming the official betting and gaming partner of Leeds United Football Club.
