Sky Bet to expand team by 10%
Alderney-licensed operator plans to hire 50 new team members to support company growth in its core UK market

Sky Betting and Gaming has announced a 10% expansion of its Leeds-based team as the operator looks to support its current UK growth.
The eGaming Review operator of the year will add 50 new staff members to its current team of over 500 across all areas of the business including technology, products, marketing and trading.
Sky Betting and Gaming managing director Richard Flint told eGR that the new additions to the company were in line with its current growth strategy.
“We’ve been continually expanding our team on the back of our publicised growth in the UK across all verticals,” he said. “The increase is broadly spread across the whole business and all areas of the team are expanding. We are very ambitious about our future growth.
“It’s all about whether we can find the right people, but as we set the bar high I expect it to take a number of months to find all the right people,” he added.
Sky Betting and Gaming revamped its poker offering last month, which it plans to roll-out on mobile in the near future, and followed an update to its Sky Bet mobile app which included seamless login to Sky Vegas.
In July the operator posted a 37% year-on-year revenue growth from £112m in 2012 to £155m for the 12 months ended 30 June, after recently becoming the new title sponsor of the Football League. Flint told eGR that the operator had “started the new season really strongly” following the deal.
