Three operators join DOGA
Ladbrokes, Bet24 and Betsson join operator association " two new licences awarded.

Three new operators have joined the Danish Online Gambling Association (DOGA), taking the number of companies associated with the organisation up to seven.
Ladbrokes, Bet24 and Betsson have become the latest operators to become members of DOGA, joining Unibet, Bet365, Sportingbet and Betfair. The association was formed in November last year, designed to act as a voice for operators in the regulated Danish market.
Morten Rønde, former legal advisor to the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) was announced as the organisation’s chief executive shortly after.
Commenting on the new members, he said: “These three operators are top-tier companies and we are very happy to have them join the organisation. It gives DOGA a better basis for dealing with the gambling authority and Danish MPS and broader representation in the industry.”
Rønde’s former employers, the DGA, have announced two new licensees, with Dansk Underholdning Ltd and E-Play24 Ltd granted full licences to operate in the market, taking the number of licensed companies to 32. An additional seven smaller Danish companies have been awarded income-restricted licenses, allowing them to pay lower license fees as long as their gross gaming revenue does not exceed a set amount.
The DGA is also set to enforce the technical standards detailed in the original terms of regulation, with operators required to have their systems and processes audited and certified by the DGA by the end of 2012. Currently licences are only valid for a year, but once the systems have been certified these will be extended for a further four.
