Double Down added to Pokerscout freeplay rankings
IGT-owned social casino averages 4,000 ring game players.

International Game Technology’s (IGT) social arm Double Down Interactive is the latest name on poker tracking site Pokerscout’s play-money table.
The newly-launched ranking system, which sits separately from Pokerscout’s long-running real-money table, places Double Down Casino third of 12 operators behind Zynga Poker and PokerStars, with a seven-day average of 4,000 ring-game players at any one time.
By way of comparison, that is just one sixth of PokerStars’ total but more than fourth and fifth placed PartyPoker and 888 combined.
Double Down has signed partnerships with three land-based casinos or casino groups – Casino Del Sol, Golden Acorn and the Jacobs Entertainment group – since being acquired by IGT in January this year for US$500m.
The company only added Texas Hold’Em Poker to its Facebook casino in May, with the variant joining Omaha Poker on the platform. The social casino has also launched a number of new slots titles since the IGT acquisition, including Da Vinci Diamonds – the first IGT slot to be rolled out across multiple platforms.
In its Q3 results statement in March, IGT revealed that Double Down was providing it with “accelerated growth,” with CEO Patti Hart saying “We feel very comfortable that it is outperforming expectations.”
According to AppData, Double Down currently boasts 5.3m monthly active users and 1.4m daily active users, with an estimated 40% coming from the United States.
Double Down is not the only site to be added to the Pokerscout table since its launch, with the poker offering of Swedish mobile app developer Appeak and UK-based ReplayPoker bringing the total number of sites up to 12.
