Mr Green names Per Norman as CEO
Norman to take the reins from Mikael Pawlo in April having advised the group since 2012
Mr Green has appointed Per Norman to succeed Mikael Pawlo as its chief executive when the latter formally stands down from the position in April.
Norman will assume the role at Mr Green’s annual general meeting on 23 April having advised the firm since 2012, including on its listing on Sweden’s AktieTorget exchange in June 2013.
Current chief executive and co-founder Pawlo announced his departure in December but is to stay on at the firm and will be proposed as a new board member at the AGM.
Norman takes the role having previously served as chief executive at Swedish subscription television service Boxer for two-and-a-half years and also spent just under three years at telecommunications firm SES SIRIUS.
“It is a great honour to be entrusted with the development of Mr Green and our subsidiaries,” Norman said. “I am passionate about our tradition of giving visitors the best gaming experience in the industry.”
Norman inherits the hot seat at a time of change for the group after Marcus Nylen also stood down from his position as chief executive of Mr Green’s DSRPTV Gaming subsidiary, with Mr Green Online CEO Bo Wanghammar the only member of the three-strong senior management set to remain at the firm beyond April.
“With Per Norman as our CEO, we will acquire a leader who knows the company well and can continue to develop the company, while also leveraging Mr Green & Co’s entrepreneurial culture,” Tommy Trollborg, chairman of the board at Mr Green, said.
Mr Green is currently involved in an £8.5m tax dispute with Austrian authorities while Norman will also be tasked with overseeing the operator’s launch into the Italian market following its acquisition of Mybet Italia late last month.
