Optimal Payments signs Premier League shirt sponsorship deal
Payments firm signs two-year agreement with Crystal Palace FC to feature NETELLER brand on players' shirts
Optimal Payments has signed a landmark deal to become the official sponsor of Premier League team Crystal Palace for the next two football seasons as it looks to grow its brand visibility in the Asian market.
The payments firm said it will use the high-profile platform to raise the global awareness of its NETELLER service and Net+ Card stored-value product, which will be displayed on the front of the team’s shirts from the start of the 2014/15 season.
Optimal said it is supporting its customers by “delivering big brand credibility” in key growth markets including Asia and Africa by becoming the first Premier League sponsor within the online payments space.
The Premier League is televised by 80 international broadcasters across 212 territories worldwide globally with huge interest in the league within Asia.
“We are delighted to be the official sponsor of Crystal Palace and recognise similarities between our two organisations in terms of recent great performance and growth ambitions for the future,” Joel Leonoff (pictured, left), president and CEO of Optimal Payments, said.
“This sponsorship signifies an opportunity to support one of the league’s most exciting teams while promoting our innovative payment solutions worldwide,” he added.
Many gaming operators and suppliers have invested in club sponsorship and betting partnerships with Premier League clubs in recent years, including Marathonbet, Paddy Power, SBOBet and bwin.party.
