Lottomatica launches Live Casino Hold'em in Italy
Operator becomes first to launch poker-style game in Italian market " iPad variant to go live later this year

Lottomatica has announced the launch of Evolution Gaming’s Live Casino Hold’em table, the first AAMS-certified variant of the game to go live in Italy.
The poker-style game is now available on Lottomatica’s dot.it site alongside Evolution’s live dealer roulette, blackjack and baccarat games. An iPad-optimised version will be available later this year, after the supplier became the first to launch live gaming products on the platform in Italy “ also via Lottomatica “ in March.
The companies first began working together in 2011, with Evolution running live feeds for the online and television live dealer broadcasts from its studios in the Latvian capital Riga. The tables feature Lottomatica’s branding, and are staffed by native Italian dealers.
Evolution Italy chief executive Gionata La Torre said she was proud “to have achieved another first in Italy”. “This underlines our shared commitment to delivering the best live gaming experience across multiple channels,” she added.
Live Dealer Hold’em was first launched in October last year, alongside the supplier’s first iPad-optimised games and was described at the time as meeting “the world-class standard of our live casino games portfolio” by Evolution product director Fredrik Bjurle.
Since becoming the first supplier to launch live dealer products in Italy, Evolution has also become the first release localised offerings in the Spanish and Dutch markets.
