Paddys inks NetEnt and IGT agreements
IGT deal is mobile-only, while NetEnt will also provide browser-based games content.

Paddy Power has increased its casino games offering through deals with software providers Net Entertainment and International Game Technology (IGT).
The IGT agreement is mobile-only, covering titles including Da Vinci Diamonds and Cleopatra, and makes Paddy Power the first OpenBet customer to take on board mobile content from IGT’s remote gaming server (RGS) casino portfolio.
It also includes a number of the new titles which IGT launched for iOS and Android earlier this month, such as Wolf Run and Kitty Glitter, with Paddy Power’s head of egaming Isaac Ward saying: “We have built a strong partnership with IGT over many years and it is great to be able to extend this further with the introduction of their new mobile games platform”.
Meanwhile the agreement with NetEnt covers both mobile and browser-based games from the end of 2012, and follows the Swedish operator’s tie-ups earlier this year with UK-facing operators SkyBet and Boylesports.
Ward said of the NetEnt deal: “The addition of the Net Entertainment content to Paddy Power Games is set to further enhance our best in class product offering and we look forward to its presence at paddypowergames.com generating positive results for both parties.”
Net Entertainment chief executive Per Eriksson said: “Paddy Power is a major player in this industry, and I am positive that Net Entertainment’s games will be well received by Paddy Power’s player base. The contract with Paddy Power will further strengthen Net Entertainment’s position in UK and Ireland.”
The announcements follow Paddy Power’s demo-launch of a number of Facebook slots as it continues to utilise the Cayetano Gaming business which it acquired last year, while its progress in mobile was accentuated in September with the roll-out of its Roller Casino iPad-optimised app.
In the operator’s recent third-quarter interim management statement, it revealed that mobile had contributed 28% of casino gross win compared to 19% in Q3 2011.
Following the announcement of the company’s new brand visual identity earlier this month it will unveil a new casino sub-brand, Paddy Power Vegas, in the coming months. It will, unlike the larger Paddy Power Casino brand, be tailored specifically to mobile devices. The Paddy Power Games brand is kept separate from the two.
