
SkyBet launches bingo iOS app
Players able to access games using same online accounts allowing them to have same experience on the internet as well as on mobile.

SkyBet, in conjunction with software partner Playtech, has launched its new bingo iOS app giving players access to 11 rooms and two slot games on iPhone mobile devices.
Players are able to access the games by using their online accounts enabling them to have the same experience on the internet as well as on mobile.

Akad added that the roll out of this platform on the back of Android last year and the imminent launch of HTML5; plus on-going mobile/tablet development would drive [the company] and its licensees forward to “even greater heights”.
“Not only do we offer the world’s largest bingo network, but we also ensure it is accessible to players anywhere, anytime,” he said.
Last summer saw the software provider roll out its new mobile bingo app, with Paddy Power and William Hill Online the first operators to take it live, with Betfred expected to follow suit later this year.
Gibraltar-licensed operator Betfred went live with its Playtech-powered mobile casino offering on 2 January, ahead of a planned broader mobile launch with the London-listed software provider.
It is available on iPhone, iPad or Android devices, and in addition to slots and table games it offers branded scratchcards including Rocky and Iron Man 2.
Betfred is expected to follow the mobile casino launch with live dealer and bingo games, and Betfred.com managing director Chris Sheffield said: “We are confident that with Playtech’s proven products combined with our strong focus on the platform, we will be able to generate significant traffic to mobile from both existing and new players.
Playtech launched its mobile hub in October last year, bringing in expertise from its recently acquired Mobenga business to create the opportunity for licensees to centralise their mobile offering. Gala Coral was the first operator to go live with the hub.
At the beginning of this year eGaming Review operator of the year SkyBet signed a three-year contract extension with OpenBet for the provision of software, content, support and maintenance.
The mainly UK-focused operator has a decade-long relationship with OpenBet and is one of the sports platform and software provider’s longest standing customers. The deal will see OpenBet continue to supply the latest casino, poker and sportsbook products to SkyBet, Sky Vegas and Sky Poker.
